The Christmas Miracle!

As promised I told you all that I would update photos and happenings of this weeks events. Well, today was a BIG DAY ~ it was William's school Program day. It was top secret as to what he would be doing so we were all anxious to see his debute in drama..... He was an angel in the choir and sang just beautifully between screaming hello to "Poppy", "Ma" and "Da" ~ we were all honored that the entire congregation saw us and knew our names:) It was a very cute presentation of the Christmas Story, between children screaming out names and William at one point stretching out in the chairs beside him to take a rest ~ the songs were great!! I do have to say I was impressed that, the amount of children on stage coupled with the amount of parents in the audience ~ NOBODY got hurt, no screaming, no crying (or very little) and everyone had a great time, a true Christmas miracle. I have created a montage of photos from the program, I do hope that you enjoy!:)

Dear Santa..........

Well today was the day, the "SANTA DAY"... The kids woke up with a mission and that was to see Santa and make SURE he knew what they wanted for Christmas. We normally go to Brookwood Mall to see Santa but William told me that he wanted to see the one at Bass Pro, not to mention there are several trains running that he wanted to see too... We were not really expecting too much considering that Grace had informed us all that she didn't want Santa to visit her house with gifts, her exact words were.."No Santa Willwa (William in Gracie language)". William tried to explain to her that he comes when she is asleep and he brings gifts but still, no dice, "No Santa Willwa" was her reply. As we drew near Bass Pro, the amount of cars that were in the parking lot made me want to take a Zanex immediately, I haven't seen so many cars in one place since my last concert ~ insanity! We decided since we were there we will look around. I do have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. My father in law assured us that it was a large enough store that even if there were lots of people there, we wouldn't feel crowded ~ he was right! The kids loved the Christmas vibe of the entire place, it was FUN! We stood in line to see Santa and wrote him a letter, toured the area toys and of course watched the trains. We finally ( after about 30 minutes, not too bad) reached the pinnacle of the entire trip ~ SANTA CLAUS himself!!! Both children were happy to sit in his lap, YES I said BOTH!!! EUREKA, we hit gold ~ NO SCREAMS from Gracie. Now, she sat there but she would not tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas. She wouldn't tell him, kind of like I am here, I am smiling but that is ALL you are going to get. William, the sweet big brother that he is chimed in for her that she wanted a dollhouse and he of course, wants not one but TWO trains (specificlly Stanley from a Thomas movie and a Lionel).... So by the time all was said and done we had a wonderful trip to Bass Pro and I look forward to next year when we will go again considering we are not the big great outdoor kind of people.... We will probably only visit again when Santa is there waiting for us:)

So here we GO!

Well I am giving this a whirl.. We will see what happens with keeping this updated as well as keeping the kids fed and dressed:)

So it is the holidays and mass chaos within the Gardner household. Edwin is on his way home from Germany/Egypt and we are SOOO happy that he will be home tonight (especially me, mommy is TIRED).. The kids have been exceptionally well the entire week up until this morning, they must know that dad is coming home and are like kids waiting on Santa. I know that I am exhausted and they are too with no nap and lots of meltdowns and sugar highs ~ they are hopefully going to have visions of the sugar plums they ate dance in their heads:)

This next week is going to be fun for all with parties at schools, Christmas programs and much much more. I will be sure to post pictures for all to share in the festivities. Until then, sweet dreams and wonderful weekends to all!!
